ACLS Experienced Provider (This course is an ACLS Renewal option for those providers wanting expanded knowledge as an ACLS Provider)

ACLS-EP is the continuation of a traditional ACLS course.

During the first 2 hours of the course participants will be required to:

  • No Review or instruction on ACLS content prior to skills evaluation
  • Testing of BLS, ACLS, & Mega Code skills

NOTE: All participants attending this AHA ACLS Experienced Provider Course are expected to prepare prior to attending the course utilizing the resources listed below. Any unsuccessful participants will need to attend an ACLS Provider Course (2 Day) at their own expense and successfully complete the course to obtain a ACLS Provider Card.

The remainder of the course includes:

  • Advanced topics in ACLS, i.e., electrolytes, environmental, toxicology, pregnancy.
  • Cardiology emergencies via simulated case scenarios.

Intended Audience

Experienced providers who have: Renewed their ACLS certification at least twice and are proficient in both AHA BLS & ACLS skills

Prerequisites

Current AHA BLS Card, Current AHA ACLS Card, Completed AHA ACLS Training Course & renewed ACLS certification at least two times.

  • 2015 ACLS Experienced Provider Manual
  • Current and actual AHA BLS Provider Card
  • Current and actual AHA ACLS Provider Card
  • Complete the ACLS EP Exam (Be sure to check your email and or spam mailbox for the ACLS EP exam code)
  • Complete the AHA ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment
    • Go to (http://www.heart.org/eccstudent). Enter Code aclsep2015. Achieve a score of 84% or greater. Must bring a printed copy of the test results to enter class. Note: the website does not save your test results - print as soon as the test is completed.
  • Stethoscope
  • Dress in clinical attire (scrubs)
  • AdventHealth Employee- Employee badge)
